| LOC Contact Information IAU XXVIII General Assembly, Beijing Language The language of the General Assembly is English. Badges As a General Assembly participant, you will be identifiable by your name badge. This badge permits you access to general assembly sessions and activities, unless special tickets are provided. Participants are expected to wear their name badge at all times. In case of loss, please request a new name badge at the registration desk. For a number of events, the organisers will provide tickets (social events, tours) upon registering. Please present the relevant ticket upon request. If you are not able to present such ticket, you may be refused access to this function. Payment Security measures at CNCC require that you and/or any bags you are carrying are subject to scanning upon entering the venue. Please respect instructions from security staff. At times, it may be necessary for the organisers to cancel, reschedule, or substitute a General Assembly session, speaker, theme or topic as announced in the scientific programme. The organisers will provide advance notice of any changes, but cannot be held responsible You are encouraged to arrive early at all of your preferred sessions as seating is available on a first-come ,first-served basis. Staff and volunteers will be available in meeting areas throughout for assistance. Do not hesitate to contact staff for any questions you may have. Printing, copying and other office services are offered at the business centre located on level 3 of the CNCC. Delegates in need of medical treatment should contact the First Aid Point located near the IAU registration area. Outside of scheduled coffee and tea breaks, food and beverage facilities will be open during the general assembly to serve drinks, snacks and lunch. Please note that only cash payments will be accepted. Any found items can be dropped off at the General Assembly registration desk. If not picked up after 5 hours, these will be handed to the CNCC security services. Surrounding the CNCC

Transportation from/to the airport A taxi from the airport to the convention center and nearby hotels is around is approximately 100RMB ($15US) and takes about 30 minutes. No tips are necessary. We recommend that you print out the venue or your hotel address in Chinese characters and give it to the taxi driver, so your destination is clear. There is also an airport express train (25RMB) that goes directly from the airport into the city. The airport express train makes two stops in the city, with direct links to the subway network; Sanyuanqiao station linking to line10 and Dongzhimen station linking to line 2. Please see the metro map below. Public transportation Beijing’s metro system is quick, fast and reliable and will connect you to all areas of the city. Subway tickets (2 RMB) can be bought either at the electronic vending machines or .The subway station nearest to the CNCC is Olympic Green on line 8 (Green Line). Upon arrival, please exit at gate E which is closest to the venue. Disclaimer The General Assembly organisers will accept no liability for personal injuries sustained by, or for loss or damage to property belonging to GA participants, or any other unforeseen circumstances either during or as a result of the GA or during its social events, tours and activities. It is therefore recommended that participants, as well as companies, arrange their own personal health, accident and travel insurance.
